See a new PowerPoint/video presentation, including exclusive footage from experiments by British cymatic researcher and inventor John Reid. Reid has developed an instrument similar to Hans Jenny’s tonoscope, which Reid calls the CymaScope. The CymaScope is a device that enables us to see the resonance patterns of sound formed in sand that is spread on a vibrating membrane. For the first time, these fascinating preliminary experiments show what some of the acoustic five-frequency patterns programmed into the Cyma1000 look like visually. If the video does not start:
When you produce a video using any particular codec, that codec must be installed on any workstation that is going to view the videos. Much like a zipped file. You must have some program to unzip the file before you can use it.
The file TSCC.EXE, that is located http://www.techsmith.com/download/studiodefault.aspfor download.
Run TSCC.EXE and it will install the TSCC codec on their system. This only needs to be done once.
Note: For Windows NT/2000/XP users must have administrator rights to install codecs.
